Patients often complaint that they get insufficient time and superficial attention from doctors on a visit. In a country like India, with just 1 doctor per 2000 people, it becomes impossible for a doctor to invest sufficient time in a patient. And, as the age-old adage goes,‘Time is money’, the overstressed system becomes commercialised. Often the doctor’s prescriptions do not address root of a health issue. e.g., A patient admitted to a leading healthcare facility for COVID treatment was prescribed weekly Vitamin D consumption (60000 IU sachets). When the family Doctor of the patient saw the discharge summary, he prohibited the patient from taking it. This was because the family doctor knew the patient’s medical history and that he had Vit. D levels on the upper limit of the normal range. Further consumption would have caused toxicity instead of help.
This is just one of the countless examples that highlight the need of a personal doctor who understands the patient, can monitor his health, and provide CARE, in the true sense.

Additionally, when a referral to a senior or specialised doctor is needed, we can effortlessly create and share your health summary report thereby saving crucial time.
At SWAASTHRAKSHAK MEDeCARE we want our clients to not become patients. We want to keep them healthy by monitoring and regularly following-up. Recently announced National Digital Health Mission program of Government of India also emphasised the need for digitisation of all your health records to access better health care.

ReplyDeleteI have been using services from doctors in this panel from years they have been outstanding in diagnosing the disease and providing an outstanding consultation and they have good network. While refering the patients in other places, if required, they keep watching the progress of patient. I found them very genuine.

Thankful note! ReplyDeleteThis concept of personal doctor should have launched many years before in our country. For us it's like a concept, but in the foreign countries like USA, Canada, UK, etc. it's a fact, rather long years ago they have been into this. Being an ex-medical transcriptionist, I know people of these countries have lots of beliefs in preventive care services.
ReplyDeleteI personally really thankful to the team of Swaasthrakshak for they have very recently protected my mother from Covid-19. Not only that they have cured my mother but they're quite regular in their follow-ups for further measures.
Basically I felt, like foreign countries Swaasthrakshak team has come forward to take healthcare initiatives to provide preventive care measures. I am sure in India very few have thought in this aspect.
